Clear information for every enquiry.
This policy explains what happens to your information from the moment you contact us, including the choices you have over optional website analytics.
Who controls your information
NW Automatic Doors is the controller of personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at [email protected], by calling 01492 200 543.
Information we collect
When you make an enquiry, we may collect:
- Your name, company name, email address and phone number.
- The service you need, your message and any information you choose to send later.
- Basic technical and security information needed to deliver and protect the website.
- Consent-based analytics about visits, contact actions and how pages are used, including clicks, scrolling, device information, heatmaps and masked session recordings, but only after you accept analytics cookies.
Please do not send sensitive personal information through the general enquiry form.
Why we use it
Who processes information for us
We use service providers only where needed to operate the website and respond to enquiries. These currently include Cloudflare for hosting, security and Turnstile verification; Resend for delivering enquiry emails; Google Analytics for consented visit and enquiry measurement; and Microsoft Clarity for consented behavioural metrics, heatmaps and masked session recordings. Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are not loaded until you accept analytics cookies. The enquiry form is explicitly masked from Clarity so its contents are not included in recordings. Microsoft explains how it handles Clarity data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Clicking an external service such as email or a future social link means that provider will process information under its own privacy terms.
Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we rely on the provider's contractual and legal transfer safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Unsuccessful quote and general enquiry records are normally deleted within 24 months.
- Records connected with completed work, contracts, invoices or legal obligations may be kept for up to six years.
- Security logs are kept only for the period reasonably needed to investigate abuse and protect the service.
- Google Analytics retention is controlled in Google Analytics and applies only to consented data.
- Microsoft Clarity keeps ordinary session playback data for 30 days. Click and heatmap data, and labelled or favourited sessions, are retained for 9 months.
We may keep information longer where a dispute, legal requirement or active customer relationship requires it.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, transfer, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Contact [email protected] to exercise a right. We may need to confirm your identity before responding. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our services, providers or legal obligations change and revise the date shown above.
